I’m a software engineering student, suffering from imposter syndrome…
To overcome this feeling, I decided to fully focus on my studies / portfolio. I’m doing this by following several Coursera courses:
- Meta Front-End Developer
- Meta Back-End Developer
- Meta Full-Stack Developer
After finishing the Front-End course I’m also planning to work solving all the LeetCode ‘Blind 75’ problems.
Why did I decide to start with Front-End?
During my studies I learned a lot about Python and C#, this is what I started with. Knowing Front-End languages like HTML and CSS, was seen as something basic, and wasn’t really taught to us.
It felt like I missed something not knowing anything about that. Then I came up with an idea.
‘Hey, let’s get some certificates to level up my LinkedIn profile and actually learn something at my own pace!
So I started with the first course in Meta Front-End Developer: ‘Introduction to Front-End Development’. I just finished it and it went by fast. I actually learned a lot about HTML, CSS and BootStrap, even though it was just the basics.
I’m now going to start with the second course ‘Programming with JavaScript’. Wish me luck!
